relay
Relay is the final exhibition in a trilogy of works by Nina Levitt on the role of women during the Second World War. The installation is inspired by the use of radio technology and the role women played in the flow of information. It features large-scale sculpture, photography and interactive video and sound. Relay was installed at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa, Ontario.
I created custom electronics for Nina Levitt's installation, including MP3 playback circuits, radio transceiver and receivers and a low cost DMX-like lighting control system to synchronize the lights on radio towers sculptures with morse codes played back on speakers within vintage suitcases.
