Assignment 2 - Interactive Self-Portrait

Find some data about yourself. This data can be derived from your everyday life, your identity (online or offline), your networks, your personal history, etc... Create a self-portrait based on that data. I do not require that you use Processing. You can make your self portrait in any medium you like to work with, with the one requirement that your self portrait be interactive. The data does not have to be acquired in real-time (it can be hardcoded for this assignment).

To submit, post your piece on your website (publish as an applet if Processing, embed a flash Movie or otherwise link to the necessary files to view it). Provide a screenshot, a description of your piece and an explanation of why you choose that data and how you are representing it in your self portrait.

Grading:

Portrait (15 pts), graded on: creativity, aesthetics, interactivity, mapping between data and portrait
Description (5 pts)

This assignment is due in 3 weeks:

on Week 7 for the Friday section (October 23rd)
on Week 6 for the Monday section (October 26th)
